Shutter Speed Adjustment Issue Super Slow Mode

When I am recording in 24fps I set my shutter to 48. When I switch to Super Slow 120fps mode the shutter switches to 125 which is fine. If I change from 125 to 250 the problem I have is when I exit Super Slow Mode the shutter speed of 48 is now set to 120. I would love it if I could make the camera remember the 48 shutter speed. Is there any setting in the camera to force it to remember 48 fps?

This confuses me, though. Because if you jump into 240fps mode, the shutter angle doesn't stay 180º, which it should in theory (right?). It changes to 85º. and that's the most "open" angle you can get in 240fps mode.

Which tells me that it's treating the shutter angle as relative to 24fps and not as something that you would want to keep at 180º regardless of the frame rate. Because a film camera running at 240fps would still use a 180º shutter, it would just be spinning super ultra fast to keep up with the frames.
 
I don't think there is a fix. The shutter speed you set in each S&Q mode affect each other but never in the way you want. Shutter angle doesnt seem to fix it, it seems to have the same behavior, just different numbers. I would love it if I could just set 180deg and have it stay at that for all framerates.

Yeah it's all screwed up. It says 360deg for 1/60th at 60fps but the shutter angle numbers seem to be all screwed up for 240fps...

I didn't even know shutter angle was an option until just now but it doesn't seem to fix anything, just make things even more confusing.

Agreed. Shutter angles are a headache on this thing. Easier to stick with shutter speed in seconds.

The frustrating thing is it seems like such a minor issue to fix. A firmware update could change it, I would guess. But of course, Sony will never do that. The Arri Amira has a frame rate dial and it retains your shutter preference, so apparently you can just flip the switch and you're instantly rolling in higher frame rates... now where did I set that $60,000 I had lying around...
 
Thanks for the confirmation that it doesn't have a way to remember the shutter speed in each mode. I was just hoping there was a hidden way to fix it. Maybe Sony will add it when the release the update to fix lens distortion on their zoom lenses. But I doubt it.

Probably worth mentioning it on the Forum on Sony's website then, rather than here - they may actually take notice there.
