Shut off power during recording help

Hi all.

The power was turned off by the power switch on the device during recording of a 1 hr long clip. The battery was getting low so they turned off the power without stopping the recording and then switched batteries. Upon powering up the "repair clip, yes no" came up. They selected no. Then recorded the end of the event (about 5 minutes).
The recorder was an ag hmr10. The SDhc card used is a panasonic gold 16gb class 10.
I have not done anything yet. Not even took the card out yet.

I have lexar image rescue 4 that came with my lexar cards. Should I put the card in a card reader and run that?
Or should I put the card in a card reader and run the avccam utility that came on disc with the unit?
Any help is appreciated. This is my first failure like this. Unfortunately it was on my backup "safety" camera which happened to be needed and had some of the best shots.

Hi Firehawk

Ouch they should have said "YES" then it would have finalised the write...OK look on the PASS website and there is free software there from panasonic I think a few more than the AVCCAM one ...worth taking a look...Not to be a pessimist but I did that on my HMC70's a long time back and the whole clip was totally missing....I would tend to use the AVCCAM restorer rather than the Lexar utility. Maybe also put write protect tab on and then copy the entire folder structure to your computer, then copy back to a second card and fool with the second card to restore..that way you still have an utouched card if it doesn't work!!!

At least yours asked to repair. Mine never did.
Did you try using the repair in the camera first?
Sounds like you hired the same idiots I sometimes come across. Too stupid to hit stop before powering down At least they powered it off. I had one guy just pull the AC cord out. I felt like throwing him over the rail.

The in camera repair was not performed. Two big mistakes. But its my fault for not telling them what to do in case. Yeah, pulling the cord would be horrible. Wow.

Thanks guys for the help.
I downloaded the avcvam restore program from the panasonic site. Prayed, coped the card to my drive then tan the program. After about 12 min it said it could be restored.
So I hit next and it did!
I could hardly believe it worked!
It was a large 1 hr long clip. I thought all was lost and I'd have to edit the project from the other two cameras.
I'm so glad. I'd hope this outcome from p2 but never thought sdhc / avchd could survive that.
