FS5: Shoulder Rigs for the Sony FS5 Thread

Hey guys, my Fs5 rig is complete so I made this fun video today. Obviously when shooting Monitor drops down but didn't work for video movement. Part list is on Vimeo.

Looks awesome man! How much do you think you put into the rig not counting the camera, recorder, and mic?

Very good question that I'm not sure I want answered. Haha. Some of it was from DSLR parts from years ago like the Carbon Rods and the RedRock shoulder which were I think $200.

The rest of it I assembled after getting the camera and I think is around $600. I utilized B&H used department for the Noga Arm and a few of the elements and got a killer ebay deal for $240 for the baseplate and follow focus.

I have weights for the back or I put the monitor straight back if I'm shooting for long periods of time but I don't shoot with the 7q+ on the shoulder often.

questions about the Redrock Micro shoulder pad

questions about the Redrock Micro shoulder pad

I'm looking for a shoulder pad. How do you like the Redrock Micro shoulder pad? Is it comfortable and does it offer good lateral support? Is there a Manfrotto compatible dovetail built into it?
