Shoulder Rig for AF-100

got my edelkrone rig modula 7, and nope i did not like it :-( ! 1st of all - its extremely heavy - it can nail u the ground!..... 2nd base plate has just 1 screw to attach the camcorder - and its crap, as soon u ll put some pressure on cam it will just turn on a side - its really fricked me out on my latest making off that i did last week, i asked edelkrone support about it before my order - they told its very stable.... well its not, its just cant be.... in general all separate parts are very sold - military grade, BUT as soon u ll put it all together u ll notice its NOT! again maybe it will work great for 5dmII, but not with pro camcorder. the top handle on the unit - u need to open it up to fit AF100 - its ok, but u end up on moving it backward like to the last point and up again to the last point ..... now put your cam inside , you monitor.... and now try to hold the whole rig by using top handle of the unit - u ll notice that its BENDS and its very noticeable....and looks scary to me...... and the worst of all is that quick rotate mechanism that allows u to turn around your shoulder peace on 180* - its shakes, there is a little .... very little space left that allows you to pull out the knob lock and rotate the shoulder peace, and its never stable its just shakes all the time

there are some more minuses, that r annoying .... if u think u can adjust anything there with just 1 hand on a go - forget it, u cant, i had so many hopes for it but.... the little locking screws that hold different major parts of the rig are very annoying - maybe its just my hands but when i unscrew something they always falling down, some of them just sometimes but 2 of them always - the one that holds rods, and the 1 that holds handles .
handles have same problems i had with redrock ..... same locking principle, and these - dont know the right word "screws" are so small and u need to lock it really tight that then u ll break your fingers to open it up - in fact its very painful! and i dont want to even think about using that rig in winter

i would like to tell something good about it , but i cant.... looks great, but dont work that way. in fact I Ended up with just holding my cam in hands and used my EVF - that i never did so far, - and i kind of learned that EVF - is a useful peace, not sure if that experience worth of 1800usd but..... now i love my evf i did no know its so useful!

so i had a rig , but filmed "making off" 2 days from 7:00 till 23:00 outside with -1C and with some snow, by just holding my cam in my hands - it was much more easier with out edelkrone rig.

the only thing i do like about edelkrone - Monitor Holder - works perfect, just like its suppose to be!
