Should i unplug battery when not in use?

in the manual, it states i think at one point, to take out the battery when the dvx is not in use. So when im not using it and i put it in the camera bag , should i take it out? will it be serious if i leave it in?

of course you should! what if the battery craps out or explodes? you dont want it directly attached to your DVX.

i always take mine out unless its only gonna be a couple hours or something before i use it again but then again ive left it connected for a few days also.

Any reason to believe the manual is giving you bad information?

If the manuel says it, do it. Plus I think that the battery slowly drains when pluged in and not in use. Not sure though
