Should I shoot an interview in 24P?

Hello,

I have an interview with a Hip Hop Music Artist in a few days and was wondering what the best setting to use.

It will be shot indoors with maybe one light and thought I would ask what the best settings to use are for this situation.

I think it will look good in 24p and if so please let me know the other settings that will enhance this. If this is not the choice to go with then what should I do?

Thanks

It all comes down to personal choice and the look you are going for. I obviously choose 24p for any storytelling pieces I do.

However, I just shot a spec 1/2 hour cooking show this weekend and opted for 30p 4:3 for more of a broadcast look.

30p takes the "video" edge off but doesn't force the viewer into a cinematic world.

Ok, I will probably go with 24P because I have not shot on it yet and would like to see the look. This isn't a big project just a small interview that will be streamed for a few weeks so no big deal.

Ok so what is the best settings to use like gamma, exposure etc for shotting this indoor interview to give it the cinema look?

Thanks

ah such a broad question... well you've got the frame rate already so now search for: shallow depth of field, color correction (grading), camera moves (if any), aspect ratio (widescreen, whether it be through post cropping or in camera methods), or just search cinematic!

I shoot all my interviews in 24p unless made to do otherwise.
