I'm making a small independent film in Europe (not the USA) but I may want to send my film to festivals around the world. What are the pros and cons of 25p and 24p - and what would you advise using?
I say shoot in 25p, PAL, which will be wayyyyyy easier for you (and PAL is said to have a much more film-like look).
Film festivals have digital projection (just about ever single one, as a matter of fact), so you should be okay.
Regardless, if you ever wanted a film print, they would just slow it down 4% to 24 fps and tweak the audio to match. That slow down is really unnoticable.
