hi guys, could anybody show me some real good footages shot with a 35mm adapter on the dvx100 series(dvx100, dvx100a, dvx100b)... it doesnt matter what brand(letus 35, redrock, brevis, etc..)... i should be purchasing one in a month... can somebody please point me to the right direction, thanks....

I had the the Letus Extreme for many years and i got great images with my DVX, Then again with my HVX, but they all have their good and bad points. you do know you will need a rail support system, several lenses, and more lighting and that will take the price up pretty high if you go with a decent set up. If I were you I would wait until the new Canon Rebel T2i comes out. You can pick one of those up with a lens for less than you would pay for an adapter. But that's just me. There are tons of videos on youtube and vimeo with DVX adapter footage, just do a search. But to answer your question, I would say no. Keep the DVX and grab a DSLR. You will not regret it.

No prob. Either way you won't be make a bad choice. Also keep in mind that if you do go the dslr route you may need to buy more gear depending on what you shoot.
But I spent much less outfitting my 7D than I did my adapter setup. And it's sooooo much easier to use.

Good luck.

you should search on youtube and there are just endless footage you can watch. (vimeo too)

I personally like the sgblade but it's all up to you. I would get a spinning adapter since i perfer to stop down my lenses

sgblade all the way fro me if i was getting one.

But i'm goin the 7d route when i can and keeping my dvx100b as my "real" video cam for now. I want to ge tthe 7d also cuz i want to expand into photography.

I'd say go dslr if u want a another camera (actualy 2 since its a video cam and still cam). the adapter route can be costly after ur through with everything so why not get another cam for that $$. but if u really just prefer the look of the dvx (dvx and sgblade just looks amazing, even more so hpx170/hmc150/hvx200) then get the adapter.

both routes will have there adavantages and disadvantages.

TONS of footage of that on youtube and vimeo.

good points on the 7d vs everything else price wise. The price has kept me away, though i have used adapters on a few occasions, it never merited the price for the work i was doing
