Should I get an Xbox?

Re: Should I get an Xbox?

..you anywhere close to madison to watch the badgers?
ive been considering driving to thier stadium in madison to watch a game since they are doing so well. i not a big footbal fan, but i though it would be something fun and differnt to do with the fam.

Re: Should I get an Xbox?

Not really too close. I'm about 4 hours north, straight up the gut on 51. Right smack in the middle of the "Northwoods." You're in Mad Town? Great city. Must be just-a-buzzin' with Badger Mania! ... I have family in Monticello.

Badgers just played their last home game for the season...

Re: Should I get an Xbox?

lol..goes to show how much i follow football. i didnt know they had no more home games.

ha !all this talk about all of us dvx users who like playing halo ..
.. im pretty halo 2 allows for xbox live co-op play(or linked co-op play.. in which case you can use the link net converter software to link over the internet).

you(or any other dvx user for that matter..) should let me know if you want to do some co-op sometime. that would be pretty fun.

Re: Should I get an Xbox?

Co-op Halo 2 over Xbox Live? That would be a total blast! Definitely gonna look into it.

IAL, every go to the House on the Rock? That would be a great family activity. (never been there, hear it's amazing). 30 miles west of Madison. Check it out:

?

Super Mario (insert one of 30 titles here)?
Zelda (insert one of 30 titles here)?

well, I see your point, but look at the jump from the Marios on the super nin to Mario64. Mario64 is the base from which all modern 3D platformers were born. As for Zelda, the WindWaker is the FINEST example of Cel shading ever in a video game. So, in my eyes the big N is still breaking ground and moving forward. It's just a shame that so many call their titles kiddie based on looks without ever playing them. It really kills me that these days a good game is one where the body count is sky high and the blood soaks the ground. The young generation has no idea of what good gameplay means with titles like GTA etc.. filling the shelves :/ Sure Nintendo may not being doing very well against Sony and MS, but you are always guaranteed a few fresh new games from them. Pikmin and Donkey Konga come to mind right now. Donkey Konga looks crazy. Having to control a traditional 2D platformer with a bongo drum by timing your strikes? Wicked!

Re: Should I get an Xbox?

Playing IAMLOSER in Co-Op! That would rock...I'd have to look into Xbox live!

I was playing Halo 2 last night at my friends house, and its really good, I like the co-op the best, it helps to have someone watching your back.

Just a side note...I just played the DS!!! It's the new Nintendo portable...man...I was playing the new Metroid..which is a lot like Halo, you run with the left joystick and shoot with your left finger, and you use the stylus with your right to aim, it's awesome...the frame rate, and graphics were amazing...that is soo going to ease my mind while I wait for actors to show up!! :)
