should i be worried??

Today while on a shoot setting up i accidentally plugged my headphones (gold tipped) into the iris or focus remote port on my dvx100b. Everything went black..iris closed up and focus was all out of focus when i opened back the iris. Everything seemed fine afterward...but i duno if i did any kind of damage that would later on show up. Has this happened to anyone??

never happened to me, but i can't imagine it would mess it up at all, especially if it all went back to normal
