I just got a dvx100 and when the power is on its fine... but when the power is off it make a rattle noise.....Is it ok???

Thanks.

Sounds like the ND filter is loose on the inside. May need a trip back to Panasonic.....DO NOT attempt to repair yourself.

Actually thats exactly what the defective batch was recalled for. Panasonic was forced to admit were faulty.

Crap luck.

I remember that dude. He was selling a broken camera that made some click noise or something? Like it rattled or something?

It will work except when opening the shutter for 24pa it will skip a 2-2-2-4 drop sequence. That ND is the weakest design element I think

Screw that

I think Pookie's right. I remember hearing something about a "clunking noise" recall several months back. Do a SEARCH for "rattle noise" and you may find references to it.

Come on Mike, You might have to SEARCH the forum a little bit before you take it in to get repaired for that clunking noise. I think you could even search the manual which will say what to do exactly if you hear a clunking noise. But if you really want to send it in, be my guest, but I suggest you search first. :) Had to get in on it too.

Lets try this again...

Let me SEARCH my mind if I can recall a PREVIOUS POST mentioning a CLUNKING NOISE before you're TAKEN for a NEWBIE who has failed to RTFM or SEARCH before asking about the well known meaningless CLUNK, RATTLE, CLICK.

I hope thats not too subtle......

Naaaaaaaawwww...

The Search function will only bring up 8 Million threads on the subject which is entirely too many to sift through, don't ya think?

Maybe it would be quicker to goto Page 67 of the Manual and look at Question Number 3 under the Troubleshooting chapter?

Ya know guys, I think it's time to admit age is creeping up on us, if this is the best entertainment we have for a Friday night.
