Shotgun Mic Wind Cover?

Hey all,

I own this Shotgun Mic.

It came with its own mic cover. I'm not sure what you actually call the cover but it came with a black soft cover that I slide over the mic. Ill be shooting a wedding soon and I want to take precautions for wind. Can I buy a mic cover for this mic that will help keep wind distortion out of the Audio?

Will this work? Its really pricy. Is that how much I can expect to pay at the least?

Can anyone please give me suggestions and links to good wind covers for the mic? I'd really appreciate it. I really want to eliminate wind as much as possible while reasonably priced. Thanks again

EDIT: Also, will adding a Windscreen distort/muffle the audio at all?

The Rycote you linked to is actually excellent.

However, you may find the best option to be the [/u]Rycote Universal Camera Kit[/u] - this comes complete with camera mount "Lyre" suspension, MiniScreen and Windjammer, plus a couplke of other things.

The MiniScreen + Windjammer actually gives slightly better protection than the Softie (and at a lower price).

To answer your PS - the MiniScreen on its own will make virtually no change to the sound, other than to protect it from the wind. Adding the Windjammer will probably also be unnoticeable, but it will slightly attenuate the high frequencies (but less than other makes).
 
Thanks for the info. But whats the price of the Rycote Universal Camera Kit? I cant seem to find it on the site link above. Also is there a link to it for B&H?
 
When I went to B&H and searched for Rycote Universal Camera Kit, it shows several Rycote
InVision Universal Camera Kit which appear to be the same thing with an additional name.

I checked out the kits at B&H but I have a question. There are 3 options at B&H for the kits and I'm not sure which would I choose. Also the dimensions on my shotgun mic are 175.0mm(6.89") long. And 21.0mm(0.83") in diameter. The three choices at B&H are 5.51"(14cm), 7.08"(18cm), and 12cm:

And which do I pick? Lastly, is the Miniscreen Windjammer that comes in the kit the same thing as the Softie Windshield? Thanks again for any help.
