Shotgun Mic in this video ? HVX200a

[Dan B]

Hi, I am wondering if anyone would know a shotgun mic that produces crisp audio of skateboards such as this, but also reduces or compltly gets rid of wind noise... I am getting a hvx200a soon and I was just wondering what shotgun Mic would be the best for skateboarding ?

the mic itself is not getting rid of wind noise. you need this over your mic:

I use an Audio-Technica AT875R short shotgun and have been very pleased with it. You'll be well suited to add the Softie to whatever shotgun you buy.

You may also want to consider a zepplin.
