SHORT: Shot with AF100 and Gh2

It's been a long time since I've been on the boards here. As some of you may remember, I started a web show (Mr. Deity) that was picked up by Sony back in 2007, and I've been doing that ever since. But I recently bought an AF100 and Gh2 and have really enjoyed shooting with these cameras. Here are three shorts shot with them... WARNING: One of these shorts deals with religion, and another deals with politics. So, I'm know I'm in dangerous waters. I didn't post these here to debate the content, but rather to give you a look at the footage. Virtually all of this stuff was shot without a crew. My wife and stepson ran the dolly stuff, but everything else was shot completely crew-free, so be kind. B

Your videos are hilarious. Which were filmed with which camera? I liked reading about your approach, too. A perfect example of how the best cameras in the world don't really have much to do with how entertaining something is to watch. It's all about writing, editing, and timing. Subbed to the channel and shared.

Wow! Thanks a lot! I used only the AF to shoot the "Mourning After" piece. I actually wrote that at 3 am and had it shot, edited, color corrected, etc... and up by 8 pm (with six hours of sleep in between). I'm not too happy with the look of that one. It was quick and dirty, and I had the camera set for low noise, which makes everything look a little soft. The other two shorts where shot with a combo of AF and Gh. The Gh2 is just wonderful for going out and quickly getting shots. Everything in the cars was shot with it, with the exception of shooting my friend driving by. But I use it a lot with the Konova slider dolly. It's a really easy set-up and brings the production value up tremendously. I use old Nikon Primes (24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm) and the Lumix 14-140mm (rarely). The old Nikon/Nikor lenses are basically as sharp as the Canon "L" lenses (I have one and have tested to two -- neither my wife nor I can tell the difference), and both cameras are suited up with matte box and follow focus. It's a great time to be doing this kind of thing.
