GH2 Shot reverse shot

So I'm not sure if this is a big deal or what, but I was wanting some opinions. I just finished a shoot the other day for a short I'm filming now and made a slight boo boo. I didn't quite do a shot reverse shot. I filmed over both the talent's left shoulder. I don't know why, as I've never done this before, but I was wondering: How big of a deal is it to have a shot reverse shot over the opposite shoulder?

If I understand correctly, It would be breaking the 180 degree rule, which can distract the audience. If you have a two shot or something you could cut to in-between, it may be less noticeable. Can you post a clip. It may not be as bad as you think.

If you have a take that crosses the line, it would be fine. This would show the audience the cross over. Did you shoot on sticks?
