MUSIC VIDEO: Shot on a whim

Sunday my daughter was walking around the house singing this song . She had never recorded anything other than with her Macbook webcam mic so I rigged up a mic in my video studio and recorded it in a couple of hours, using a karaoke track. Monday being a holiday we were both bored and I asked if she wanted to shoot a music video. Started around 2 pm, done by 5, edited by 10. The version at he Exposure Room link below has a couple of color correction mistakes fixed but I couldn't get it to embed.

Camera used was AF100, mostly with the 20MM pancake lens, a couple of closeups with the 14-140. Lighting was one daylight balanced umbrella softbox and one Coolights CDM fresnel. Zaza type slider and Glidecam crane used for camera movement.

That looked like a lot of fun. Your daughter has a nice voice. There was a little too much slider action for me, but that's a personal choice. Otherwise, I liked your pacing of the song. One of my favorite shots was the crane shot at the end, with the dress sort of fanned out on the porch. That could be a photo in the album :-)

PS - I dig the record player too.

Thanks for the kind words, probably should have done more static shots but we were moving quickly. BTW, my daughter gets credit for editing most of it.

She's a natural :-)

I think you did an admirable job for the time constraints.

cheers
