How do you get the Shot Mark Function to work? If you just shot a scene you like, do you go to MENU, select the clip and mark it as Good? I have no idea how to mark clips and I know it will come in handy. Any tips would be appreciated.
You can assign one of your "User" buttons to mark shots - makes it very simple.
Do a quick search for "mark shot" in the HVX200 section and you'll get a ton of helpful responses.
by default the cam is set for user button 3 to be the shot mark. but to make it work the camera must be recording. so if its a shot you like, let it roll a couple of seconds past and then press the button while its rolling. i think it will flash "text memo" on the screen. and then when you look at your clips in mcr mode the marked clips will have a little "T" on them.
Shot Mark is different than Text Memo. Both can be used to mark a shot, but they're different.
Assign "Shot Mark" to one of your user buttons. Then when recording, you can mark a shot (or unmark it) by pressing that user button. You can also mark or unmark a shot from the thumbnail screen. A marked shot will show up with a little "M" on the icon.
The Text Memo can be used to mark a shot, but it is designed to be used to add text notes to your clips; you can add up to 100 notes per clip and each note can be something like 255 characters of text.
