shot in a day

Wow that ME66 Mic sounds great huh? Did you use it through out each shot? I noticed that there was one scene when the manager comes into the shop and you can actually here the bells on the door. Was that picked up with the ME66, or did you mic that separately?

Great Job!

The me66 was camera mounted as there was no time to mount on a stand and move alone. The bells were added in later as were some phone rings etc. The key sounds and door raise were from a prison cell...the auto sound from a bus. Bird sounds added at the cemetary. I had wished that the audio would have been cleaner but the shop was super busy as it was the day before mother's day. Thanks for the compliment and glad you enjoyed.

That's really great! The production looks so much more professional with just those added sounds. It just shows how imporant sound design is to any production.

I think the busy ambient sounds are fine. It tells me that it's a popular place, and therefore it must be a good one.

Craig,
"Flowers and Found Objects" is absoulutely fantastic. Plenty of us on this board can shoot pretty footage, but along with your great cinematography, the story outline, the contnuity and just the overall flow of the work is outstanding! That you got all this in a one day shoot with the shop apparently open and doing real business is incredible. I'm really impressed and I was truly moved by the story of the shop and the way you conveyed the humanity and commitment of the individuals who work in the artform (and it truly is an artform) of floral arrangement. I think what you've created is a lot more than a presentation tool for the flower shop. To me this is a really fine piece of documentary film making. I loved it.
