Hi guys, been into filming as a hobby for about two years now.... well mostly in my head and reading up as time to actually film has been a huge factor, i have only used a camera in total around 6 times so am very inexperienced and still new. My background is in graphic designing. I purchased my 2nd ever camera after dropping my first (7d broke long story) and first time I got to use it was last Saturday.
I was asked to do a behind the scenes of an artist at a Ferrari ball, I kind of told them I had a lot of experience with a camera which was bending the truth, I just wanted to get some experience and of course I didn't charge for my services as I am not confident to guarantee fair results and had no real previous footage to show them. So I shot and edited this nervous as hell but we have to start somewhere. A lot of the scenes was dark, I didn't want to crank up the iso or shutter speed as only had two roto light mounted so I cranked the lens to 2.8f on a zoom. This meant shallow depth of film which was a nightmare on a run and shoot setup. The entire thing was filmed in three hours and edited in a day, was just me doing it. Id appreciate some constructive feed back I know about focus but any other coments would be great as really want to learn and get better at this. And want to dedicate some time now that I finally have some to explore this art.
