Shot at 480/30P ad having trouble dubbing: looking for other workflow options

I shot a soccer game last week for a friend and he wanted to edit the project using minidv tapes. To avoid pre-rolling and possibly missing some action, I just shot onto the p2 Card at the final desired resolution of 480/30P. He wants the footage on the dv tape so when I went to dub the footage this morning and read the user manual it looks like the only input formats supported for dubbing are the HD 720 and 1080 ones.

Is there a way to dub the 480 footage from the p2 card back to tape? I'm not sure what the quickest workflow workaround for this would be and I am open to any and all help.

- Thanks

Camera A was an HPX170 and the B Camera was an HVX200. I figured we could just use the 200 to dub all the P2 footage at the end.

You can go firewire from the 170 to the 200 when the 200's in tape mode. Or just copy onto a hard disk and give him that hard disk.

Thanks Barry! Youy always have the answer. Also, when doing that, can I have the Time Code of the original footage output so that it is the TC that appears on the tape?

Yes...providing you set the 1394 TC REGEN menu option to ON. The firewire port will stream the TC from the original.
