Great stuff. Beats out a lot of hd footage I have seen from the hvx. Because you have an eye for subject, your hd footage is going to rock. Did you get a card yet?

hey thx! I bought 2x4gb - now that I'm in Brazil I can't purchuase anything. I was thinking to get the portable 100gb (I think its called firestore) but I heard bad things about it. Maybe it's not that bad, my info is a bit outdated now, would it be a smart purchuase?
 
The firestore is firewire, and apparently it is not that stable of a connection. The cineporter is coming out soon( or is out in the states), and will go directly into the p2 slot. More solid connection!! ( and shoots native) The p2 store is also pretty cool, but I don't know if it will handle 16 gig cards, never mind 128 gig cards. Off loading to a laptop is another solution, and I think people are also offloading to portable firewire drives. Considering how good your sd footage is, i would shoot away on those tapes while you are in brazil. Chances are you have access to some pretty cool stuff out there
 
Yeah, there's lots of stuff the Cineporter will do that the FS-100 can't -- thumbnails and all of the clip operations that go along with them, interval recording, all the framerates etc.

I'll probably get one when it comes out.
