It’s a strange feeling to finally post on a forum you’ve read daily for years. I’ve learned a great deal from all of you, and I just wanted to say thanks.

I’ve begun work on a series of very short films to explore my interests in writing, filmmaking and music composition. You can view one of them here (both links are to the same video):

I’ve been visiting DVXUser.com since the Nikon D90 first came out. From there, I tried the Canon 7D before arriving at the Panasonic DMC-GH2. Now, with the DMC-GH3, I feel I have the camera that I wanted 5 years ago.

For the last 3 years, I’ve used the GH2/GH3 forum as a place to learn about gear and techniques. For someone who was new to DSLR video, there was no better resource for learning. Thanks to everyone who comes here to share their work and knowledge.

I like very much your video, I had to think about my kids and things I would like to tell them. Your video is motivation for me to work harder with my camera (Gh3), to do something beautiful like your clip.

Thanks. Tom.

Sincere thanks to everyone for the kind feedback. It's really appreciated.

Zephyrnoid, I've been exporting my projects to 1080p/24p WMV files at reasonably high bit rates. Because my Vimeo account is basic, I believe that the videos are being down-converted to 720p. It's possible that exporting my Vimeo-destined projects to 720p would yield better results (and require less server-side re-encoding). I'll investigate.
