I posted this earlier and now I have a re-edited version

please watch and let me know what you think!

FYI the main actor dropped on us on the main day of shooting he had to bar tend at 6pm, which meant we HAD to shoot all his stuff first and had to try to remember to pick up all the reverse stuff after lighting conditions had totally changed and since it became so rushed lighting went right out the window

anyway here is the result and i look forward to your feedback

thanks!

You know how; Good audio can save bad cinematography, but good cinematography cant save bad audio.
I can't tell if it's done purposely, but the audio slaughters the entire film. I urge everyone who's watched it to watch it again - without sound - to truly appreciate the visual narrative (because it is great and sadly lost in the poor audio).

Putting the audio aside I really enjoyed it :-)

yeah the audio i cleaned up as best as i could and mixed it, but the generator sound picked up in the mic on a lot of the shots is pretty difficult / impossible to EQ out. I have been looking into plugins that can analyze audio and use that to cancel out against the entire clip. maybe that will get me to a point that i can make it usable?

that's what happens when you have a guy that's never done boom op before and i don't have headphones while I'm directing.

do you happen to know any plugins that could help in removing generator sounds? i'm used ableton to add foley / music

also let me know if its not necessarily the generator noise.. what else is f'ed up about the audio? i'd like to know so i can try another pass at fixing it. The audio scenario was a cause of much cringing while editing for me. I'm still happy with the outcome, and know to do next time.

but im glad you enjoyed the visual, and thanks for watching!
