...and it's gaining a LOT of attention. Watch it here:

My name is Max Normandin, and I've ALWAYS wanted to become a filmmaker. The problem is, I suffer from panick attacks and a pretty severe case of social phobia. I don't get out of my house often, and I certainly don't surround myself with people. Which makes it pretty darn hard to make movies...

This is the story of how I went ahead a shot a 25min short film all by myself, with no crew, using family members as actors. I don't know if this is unusual or not, but I think the quality of the final product, given the very limited ressources I had, might be uncommon.

Maxime, I gave your short film a shot - it was great! I was hooked two minutes in.

You are very talented. Great shots, great pacing/editing, and you and your family members pulled off a decent job (not being pro actors)!

Just one recommendation: promote the film talking about IT first. You seem to have overcome a lot of challenges, and that there are deeper motivations behind your desire to make films (made apparent by the end credits), but some of the promotional verbage might make part of your potential audience perceive you as being a little pretentious, and not give this short film the attention I think it deserves.

Great work - looking forward to see more from you!

Lâche pas vieux, t'es pas mal talentueux!
