Hey,

On my first FS100 video's I mostly got a kind of EX1 feel in the image. I was not happy about that.
Since I played allot with lenses, gear and settings I'm finally content on the feel of the image.

I recently made a kind of short/viral on the FS100 and a box full of old FD lenses. 8 Lenses bought at once for about €400,- not cheap for FD's but didn't had to search for a complete set.

Here is the result

Hope you like the look. If you think there can be improvements on the grading or pp I would love to hear also.

Greats,

Joost

Totally shot on Canon FD lenses exept for the fish-eye shot. That's a samyang 8mm.

Here are some making off pics

What jib is that please?

I've been looking at Jibs recently and that one looks exactly what I want. That slider looks nice too.

I don't know if it was down to Youtube but there was quite a strange sharpening effect around the brighter parts of the image.

The Kit Lens does have a "corporate video" feel about it and I much prefer the look of FD and older Nikon lenses.

Thx.

That's right. A redrockhandle on a berkey plate. Attached with berkey vertical-posts on a 60mmrail-block-ultra-light.
Brain said I could send it back if it didn't work, but I already thought it would fit. It's rocksolid.

I think I know what you mean. For example the bright edge of the face on 0:14?
If you mean this kind of stuff it's youtube. Check out vimeo it is lot better https://vimeo.com/45188971

My sharpness settings where set on +4 in FCPX.
