Short Film Trailer - A Fine Line - Sweet

Looks like a good story and nicely put together--it kept my interest until the blood trickled down. That was the one thing that put me off a bit.

not so much for me

not so much for me

good camera work imo but I thought the acting was not good. seemed to steady unatural talking. Needed more pauses and visual stimulation while taliking such as , leaning over and picking up a piece of something or , swirling a drink a bit while briefly gazing into it . Anything to make it more of a natural conversation.
the hit was fake appearing , . I liked the blood shot but because the hit seemed fake , the blood also was taken as fake..

wow thanks for all the input...Your right about the Static camera shots...but it was a concious desciion to be as static as possible through the first of the movie then, slowly add more movement to the camera..I guess i was tryin to create a build up as the story went along....the movement and faster paced editng created the excitenment i wanted....

that Blood geezz hahah that shots Not even in the Final Film....I shoulda just left it our of the trailer hahaha its not really fiting in i guess.....

thanks

Great job with the story and the shooting. I don't mind the acting (a lot of it is quite strong), but the feedback about more movement, things to do, etc., is still good.

My feedback would be to work on the audio a bit. I could hear a lot of noise on the main vocal track that kept on popping in and out. This was distracting. It would have been better to mic the talent a bit better during the production, but a little more work in post can still help. If you can't noise reduce or notch out the hiss, you could always have a more consistent ambient noise in the background instead of having it pop in and out.

hmmm interesting....
yeah i was having trouble with some audio...mostly with the driving scenes though (wind noises and such.)
oVERALL i was suprised on how well the Shotgun mic we have worked...
we bought the Mic/boom combo from www.guygraphics.com
SGMx2 and the boom pole is Awesome!
yea overall the mic worked Great...id recomend the combo to anyone...under 200 dollars for everything

I was feeling it up untill the blood shot. See, blood is THICK, and when that blood droplet fell off of the guys arm, it was seperated by a HAIR on his skin. Blood doesn't give a **** about HAIR. And it moved to...liquidy..I don't know, it was distracting...Along with the sound, how loud the ambience was. It would cut off, and the ambience would cut off. As soon as your text whent away, the ambience came back on and I'm like 'oh...he must be about to talk again...
