Short film teaser

Looks well shot and superbly cast. For a short film teaser, it's awfully long (what, is this a 90 minute "short" film??)

Mind telling us your scene settings? If not that, some other esoteric details like where you cast it, what was the budget, etc.?

yes i know its a bit long... but the director wanted it like that. i told him !!!!
The film will be 30 minutes long in final.
Sorry i can't remember the scene settings, this was shot a year ago. But it was shot in 25p mode in Paris with a very low budget. not enough light to make all the ambiances we wanted but we managed it (i think).
Everything was shot in one week. After talking a bit with the director i decided to make a "flat image" as neutral as possible but trying to use the hole range of the signal in order to be comfortable for a color correction (sat, black stretch, details). The director wanted a "dark film" with a lot of contrast.
Actors are really great. All proffesionals, becoming kind of famous now !

Dude, u gotta cut it down! 5 mins is way too long for a teaser IMO. Some cool shots you got in there though.

Ok, let's call it a "demo" or "clip extract" instead.
But you're all right... i'm gonna cut it anyway...
Thx

OK... so can you fill us in on other details. You've got a good range of actors there and seem to be pulling their strings nicely. How was casting done? Was this a paid gig? Are you an actor yourself?

Thanks!

Well i'm not the director (nor actor but only cameraman !) so i only gave my opinion after watching the videos concerning the cast. But they (2 directors) did it in a office they rent for the occasion. They cast 2 people at a time (man and girl). They contact them via some producers they know or by relationships...
these producers also gave us access to their camera, some machinery, accessories and some lights...
But nobody get paid (as usual for short films in France), but this was a really frienship set.

Maybe you'll want to know more and may visit these pages (sorry but only in french !)
