Just finished editing Qualia, my first real attempt at a short. It is a twisted zero-budget film about a fragmented young adult relationship. Actors had no prior acting experience, and beyond camera and mic, no props were used.
I was using a handheld HVX, Brevis adapter, and Nikon 50mm f1.4 all mounted on steel rails with follow focus unit and a mattebox. Sound via a Sennheiser 416 (with a rookie boom mic operator), voiceovers done with an SM-58. Apologies in advance if the colour correction is too intense for some of you, I like it gritty
