Wow, gorgeous place! The video looked kinda dreamy.

Is the softness of the footage from nostalgic mode perhaps? Smooth? Or think it was the filters?

Image quality is "helped" by a Tiffen 1/2 black promist filter. I find this softens out the digital image sharpening you get in ALL digital cameras from the last 10 years! Actual GH1 picture profile was on VIVID for most shots (by accident as I had started using it on overcast shots and forgot to switch to NATURE for the sunnier material).

I know that there can be "mud" in shadow detail - this with using the 40Mbps hack - but that's just one of the limitations of capturing with a delivery codec! Its like recording a CD master as a 128k MP3 and wondering why it sounds crap compared to proper CDA material.
