Short Film I shot..." Sunday Action"

Hello everyone,

My name is Cory Cross. What I am showing everyone is a short film I shot about a month ago, and when I had time I edited it together during the month. I used Wireless mics, Sony Hvr- Z7u camcorder and shot HD. I also used adobe premiere, photoshop and after effects to complete the video..

Editing Weddings all day, you would get bored and possibly start zoning out and making life cooler, so the way I thought this idea stemmed out by me daydreaming about, what if... and I dont want to give the story away.. but check the video out, let me know what you think..

any thinggg??

I think, from what I saw, and did..

I need to work better on planning
I need to not use a wireless mic with someone with long hair
Set up a boom mic
I need to think of more of a story, with more talking and stuff being said
I also need to, and this goes with planning, to plan more shots

Hey Cory!

Thanks for sharing. You've got a really cool "free-wheeling" doc style that I really dig. So, nice work with the camera and stuff like that. Great rack-focusing stuff.

Like you said, though, this really isn't a story. It's more of a camera test/ one note type of thing that could probably have been told in 30 seconds (not something over 2 minutes).

Remember above all...above camera quality, sound, acting (though very important), story is still king. Get your story out there quickly...don't waste any time up front.

Keep up the good work, man.
