Short film footage from FX1

Is this the short film itself or just random clips? Because I can't imagine what I just saw making sense even with sound. And like macminialacool said it looks kind of 24p-like cineframe24 or post conversion?
 
Forgive me but this footage was not shot an an FX1. It was shot on a Canon Optura 20 single chip MiniDV camera.

I didn't post this to see how many people I could make look stupid or anything like that. I just wanted to see how many people would accept this footage as FX1 stuff when it originated on a $400 dv camera instead. The reason was to prove to myself I didn't need to spend $3000 on an FX1 if people plainly accepted the footage I had from a $400 camera as being "good enough".

In my opinion the film look can be achieved even with the cheapest cameras these days.
 
well will that compression it's really impossible to tell what it is. If that was a higher file size and not so compressed it would have been more obviously, anyone can compress the hell out of a video until the point it's indistinguishable. But if you don't want an FX1, then don't get one. Keep your camera until you outgrow it.

a millisecond into it i knew it wasn't an FX1. take your shenanigans somewhere else. you don't have to prove yourself to us.

Most people here probably tried to CC the hell out of a 1chip camera, before they bought sth more mature, so no use faking, pal...

Roxics, if you ever saw eg McGregor´s stuff, you could have saved our time and yourself the disgrace...

How old are you BTW?

Sounds kind of radical from someone quoting Gnadhi. I think everybody is paying too much attention to this (which is probably what the thread owner wants). Juts let it die by it self. It IS a waste of time, but banning the guy? Come on, fellas. Just ask Jarred to delete the thread or move it else where.
 
i don't find it a joke ... we all take your/everyones WORD that what you say how/with what etc it was shot with as truth ... pretty much any clip one puts up with a low bit stream rate (like posted clip) is very difficult to judge if it was shot on vhs/dv/digibeta/super 8 /16 etc ... enlarging the clip just shows the low bit rate so basically we trust your post as it was shot on a FX1 ... there is nothing wrong with using a optura 20 - i still use the orginal canon elura ( 6 years old) and have not found a camera in that size to replace it that can shoot progressive. so if i post a low streaming bit rate super 8mm clip and state it's 35mm or viper ? AND ???
