Hi, I have just finished my first cut of a short film for valentines day and would love feedback for the next cut.

Please only watch it if you can give me feedback, becuase I am low on monthly bandwith.

I will send you the link, if you would like to watch it and make comments! :) http://www.geocities.com/heart_to_heart_film/

Thanks.

Nice work Central Coast.

Some beautiful shots in there, nice compostion, nice use of timelapse.

Very nice choice of music (esp opening piece). Sets the tone well. The second seemed a little sentimental to me - but that's just me.

I'd be tempted to add a few seconds of silence from your transition from down to uplifting. Maybe fade in that wind piece at the transition. That's obviously a crucial point in your short - perhaps think about a way to give it more significance.

I'd lose the intro titling "for the first time..." - it really doesn't help the short's content.

The effect on the male voice doesn't fit the piece for me, and it doesn't match the nice, grounded female narration.

Again, your landscape shots are stunning - that's a nice part of the world you live in. I think I'll go for a drive! :)

Overall, nice job...lots of positive elements.

Thank you for your comments.
It is on the top of my list to recast both narrators and use better audio recording equipment.
I am also very happy with the shots, i intend to cut short film of just these shots.
I agree with deleteing the "for the first time" etc.
Thanks for bringing up the crucial part, i hadn't even taken that into consideration, i will think of a way to make it more significant.

Thanks Again

Have you got any suggestions on how to improve the story? my experience is more with cinematography and im rather unexperienced in the story side.
Thanks!.

The voiceover was a tad annoying, and the sound quality left much to be desired. Though, it had some stupendous imagery. Seemed to drag on a bit, but I'll give it to you - great imagery.

Work on your entire audio aspect, though.

EDIT: 17 Feb

Thanks for the link. Yeah lots of echo in your audio and I noticed on one of your time lapse there was a lot of stutter, the clouds.

Some cool shots in there, man the roses must have taken a while. Some of the shot compositions with people didnt entirely work for me.

Ocean stuff was really really good.
