Short film export settings

I have 8 min film, which I have a problem with export settings. Normally I use QT conversion for such short film. It was shot some with XDCAM EX and with GoPro, which was subsequently transcoded to XDCAM. Timeline is set to XDCAM EX 720/60p 35Mb/s VBR, which all footage is in. When I tried to export through QT conversion the file was HUGE! (we are talking H.264 AAC sound 1280x720 gave me 5.5GB) normally such length would give me about 1.8GB file. Can anyone point out what can I change in settings to get a file under 2GB for youtube? Thanks!
OS10.5.7 and FCP6.0.6

First, you're using 60fps. That means that you have twice as many frames to write as with 30p, and 2.5x as many as with 24p. That means more data. Not sure why you used 60p for a short film, but I assume there was an artistic choice for that.

Also, exporting from FCP using QT conversion is a clunky process. You're better off exporting a QT Movie using current project settings, then using Compressor or MPEG StreamClip to convert for YouTube. You'll get a cleaner conversion, and you'll have better control over the file size of the converted movie.

60 fps is because this is the widest setting for GoPro as far as the lens. So to match the footage the rest was shot with 60p. Plus 60p looks by far the best, and the smoothest
