Short Film: Expiration Date [runtime: 5 Minutes]

Expiration Date is a doomsday dramedy about a brother who can perceive someone's "Expiration Date."

There were so many variables that went wrong the day of the shoot. But the biggest challenge was the rain. It ruined not only our original lighting plans, but a few exterior shots we had written as well. After having another one of our backup plans go awry we ended up sticking Pavo tubes taped to the windowsill as our key which worked WAY better than I anticipated.

I hope you and enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

I like the concept, is that original? (I feel like someone must have done something similar by now, but I don't recall.)

Casting too, all of these guys are pretty quirky together, lol.

I appreciate it Nor! Two of these guys are close long time friends but I was pleasantly surprised by their onscreen banter.

I'm sure somewhere out there is something similar but like all good ideas this one struck me in the shower. My original intent was to give the entire piece a feeling similar to zombieland and have the dates a floating text above their heads. I'm not sure if I shouldn't have stayed in that lane or not but in the end we had fun.
