Looks really good. It's bright and crisp too. Did you use lighting or is this natural? Is there a 35mm adapter being used here as well? Good job.

CONTINUITY: The DJ doesn´t wear his orange sweater in the outside the house shot...
Besides that: good plain hdv footage...
will you do some "picture enhancement" eg CC?

Hey, I really like the look of the piece. Was this shot with Cineframe? Or did you shoot it 50i and then conform it in post?

I'm downloading the Final.mov right now. I read SO much stuff , reviews, tests, watched clips etc... on the DVX the xl2 the HVX the FX1 and decided to go with the fx1, I'm just attrached to the picture. I know its the most unfilm like between the DVX the XL2 and the fx1, but with a 35mm adapter, it's a really different picture that I really enjoy and thats what counts. Early on I watched all Macgregors stuff and I was totally wowed. ( and no lol it's wasn't because of the naked chicks lol , although maybe it did help?? haha )

So far I've been using a vx2100 with a letus 35 and have been happy with the imagery. The main points I was looking at was having true 16:9 and price. the FX1 and XL2 where both great to me looking at those things, but it was a toss up between the abilty to have progressive mode or HDV. Since shooting progressive mode isn't as important to me and the FX1 , as of today , was listed at 2999.00 , a good amount less than the XL2, I went with that. So we'll see how my tests come out and if I"m enjoying my purchase or not.

EDIT: watched it and I like it. I like the look. I can tell no 35mm adapter was used but I really like the look of the camera. I enjoy a documentary style look, if that makes sense and this seems to have it.

So yeah, how was it shot? Modes? etc...?

to wiv.... i shot it in 60i I think, because it's the european version, and i just deinterlaced it in premiere.

I just shot it using no lens adapters or anything like that..
Some light's but mainly just sunlight.
The most possible zooming to get the most nice background blurs.. in the picture.

It kind of DOES look like he did use cineframe 25. The CC seems very subtle. You could have pushed it a little more so it would look more cinematic. Any chance you can post a subtitled version so all can understand?

I shot this in Geldrop, that's a little town near Eindhoven in The Netherlands.
Google earth file on the right of my placemark you can see the street with the bow shape.
I did not use cineframe, just shot it in 60i and deinterlaced it.

And I'm not going to do any subtitles because it doesn't really matter what he's saying.
It's something like this:

He, have you got something for me? (money for in his can)
- uuhm.. yeah, I'll have a look
Does nobody complain about the noise your making?
- well.. uuhm..no, everybody is working, don't you think?
ooh yes, of course!
- well, here's your money!
thanks.. have a nice day!
