SHORT: Short Film Comedy, begins with a 5 min. cartoon

I wrote/directed/animated this 30min. short film on a zero-budget in Chicago. It premiered at the Gene Siskel Film Center last summer. I had no crew, just 2 sound guys for post and my actors.

parts reminded me of garth marenghis dark place. the drugs den scene was quite nice. nice set design. and attention to detail. I cant help but notice the lack of consistency with the lighting/colour in this. the indoors scenes seem too cool, lacking 3 dimensional lighting maybe?. and the outdoor scenes seem too warm. animation work was really crisp. nie to see someone getting off their arse and making something with limited people. And there were some rather comical elements in there. his messed up mate is a great character.

Thanks for watching. As I said I had no crew, and I knew little about lighting. I did what I could with the Halogen lights I had; For my next film I will have a much larger budget so the gaffer can worry bout that; but with the resources I had I am proud of how this turned out.
