Short Film - "Brain Storm"

Nah, not at all, it really sounds like cool project, and I don't think there has been a lot done on Mr Hudson, I maybe wrong, but there it is. The only thing that pisses off canadians, in general, is a hockey strike.

I thought this was great. Sure there are nitpicks here and there (static shots, audio), but all in all it worked. I didn't want to stop watching it. Great little short especially for a two week pre to post production schedule. Nicely done.

Would like to ask a favor. I think the compression for the web was really well done. I have a flik I want to post on my site at that same frame size in quicktime 7. Could you post your compression settings and the program you used to do it? Would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously, on his third voyage he was up and down the coast of New Jersey and since I am in New Jersey and shooting this independently I am taking some liberties.

Like have him hang for a few days with the Donald in Atlantic City??

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

As for the compression I wish I could take credit. That is the new H264 Codec from Apple. I just use Final Cut Pro and select QuickTime Conversion and set my width and height. It takes forever (over an hour to generate that 6 minute film), but the results are phenomenal.

Good luck,

Chris

Got to finally watching the film (after trying on a couple of slow running computers) and good job. Kept my attention throughout the piece, which is sometimes hard to do with these internet films, you can just easily click on something else or send an IM and bam, interest is lost.

But as it has been mentioned before, the visuals are a little flat, but the editing I thought was tight. Always good to hear what the weaker parts of one's film, so one can obviously improve and not repeat the mistakes. Look forward to whatever you do next. Actually, I think I'll check out your site.
