Here is a short clip of a Japanese soldier I interviewed for a doc. Nothing special but the interviewee just finished talking about the first time he killed an innocent woman and her child and how he is regretful.

I checked out the trailer. What part did you involve in making that? It looks very powerful. I really liked the usage of the cartoon charactors. Good job!

well i guess i am director/writer. my friend Ryan is the DP and editor and did most of the shots in the doc. we will have a webpage soon and will post it here.

I really like the colors and skin tone, I was drawn in without any knowledge of dialouge and music so to me it looked great. Nice DOF and also zoom work. very balanced


did you use lighting or natural light?
Also curious what cine setting you used?

WOW! what can I say. the interview you intended for us to watch was nice... but what stroke me the most was the "behind the forgotten eye" preview. That is my friend, some powerful stuff... very sensitive subject and well executed there are ways to improve it... but I don't to criticize it I only want to say that it gave me chills. Was the DVX involved in any of the filming? (including the stock nah! JK)

I just watched the behind the scenes piece on the documentary. This is absolutely spellbinding material done to the highest level. Please tell us more bout the making and let us know when it will be seen... on PBS I hope. Fantastic work!
