Short "Art" piece "My Town"

I did this short video over the last few days. Its a work in progress. I live in a quaint town smack dab in the middle of what used to be furniture capital of the U.S. When all of the plants closed the town slowed down. And while many people still live here you can see remnants everywhere of the towns past. What it used to be like in its "hayday".

Remember. Still a work in progress. Just for fun.

Some overly-lingering shots (like the padlock with some jerkiness), but some really nice compositions and use of shallow focus. I like the music, too. It's almost surreal, so I was kind of wishing you used some slo-motion for the blowing flag and a couple of shots like that.

Pretty cool!

Thanks Mike for your comments. Now that you mention it the slow-mo flag would be a nice almost surreal touch. I might have to go back and shoot that. As far as the overly lingering I do understand. I don;t have a whole lot of shots yet so I might have posted the ones I have a little lengthy. I'll go back and edit them down a bit. And all of the props for the music has to go to JUSTIN DURBAN. http://www.justindurban.com/

Beautiful footage. Would you mind sharing your settings? I am assuming there was an adapter in use, which one and with what glass? How much tweaking did you do in post?

Thanks for sharing.

Cole

you might be surprised to find out that this shot, was using stock camera on factory settings. 0 0 0 0 0 0. no adapter. (1080 60i) I did a little bit of color correcting in Color tweaking one of the presets and bam. I also added a small "out-of-focus vignette" on the footage.
