Shooting with tokina 11-16 with oly zuiko lenses? How do they match color wise?

Would really love some input here.

I'm thinking the 12mm 2.0, 14-35 2.0, 35-100 2.0 and the tokina as a lens kit.

How does the tokina match up color wise with the oly's?
Heard the oly can tend towards slight magneta.

Yeah i agree, am putting together a three camera kit for live events and just curious how the tokina will look next to the zuiko footage.

Don't know about the Zuikos, but the Tokina is a great lens that performs amazingly. You will be hard pressed to find a better wide angles, especially for the price.

I see you have nikon primes you use with the tokina.........are their color profiles pretty evenly matched?.........are they the modern nikons or the older manual?

Yes, the tokina matches my nikons pretty well. I have a range of manual lenses, from the old non-AI lenses to modern AIS lenses (most are non-AI and AI), and there is more variation between some of the nikons than there is on the tokina, which is to say there is very little. Tokina was started by ex-nikon engineers, so their look is pretty similar to nikon.

Just did a very quick & dirty test with the Oly 12mm, 14-35mm and the Tokina 11-16mm (EOS mount with Kipon adapter) - didn't bother with the 35-100 as it matched with the 14-35.
Colour wise the are very similar - I would have no issue cutting between them without colour correction.
The Tokina seems more prone to flare than the Olys which can really decrease the contrast and make for quite ugly shots, so keep light off the front element (easier said than done with a wide lens)

The 12mm is sharper than the other two - but that is to be expected with a prime

hmmmm, sharper eh?........makes me wonder why they don't have a full set of primes. As far as i know they only have the 45 and the 12 in their high grade zuiko range.

Thanks though, any chance you will post any results, would love to see that!

My main motive for both the 12mm and 11-16 would be for a three cam set up so you can just have a broader range of options.

Btw you have quite the set up! 2 x pmw-350?.......thats awesome lol.
