Shooting with some DVX's, help!

Company wants me to shoot an event with a couple of DVXs, sync timecode isn't important to them, but here's what I was thinking...

Shoot in PH 1080 or 720 mode, transcode using panasonic's AVI DV setting, import into Premiere, press 'export to tape' drop off to client, won't that give them the same quality resolution as the other cameras?

Personally I didn't really like the AVI created by the panasonic transcoder. But the concept is right. I just recently tried AVS4YOU (some other converter) and that works pretty well.

None the less try it and see how it works for you!
