Gents,
Please help!
I am trying to shoot some footage at 60fps, here are my menu settings are as follows:
Operation Type > Film Cam
Frame Rate > 60 frames
Rec Format P2 > 720p/60p

when I try and play back from the P2 card it plays in real time.
What am I not doing?

You're shooting 60 over 60, i.e. you are recording the same number of frames per second as you are playing back.

You can either play back and process the video at 24fps (or whatever) in your NLE's timeline, or you can change the Recording Format to 720/24 and set the frame rate to 60.

Pn is the key, thats all ya need. not 720p. 720pn 24p in the recording format. oh and get your HVX book

Too see the slowmo in camera, record to P2 as 720p24N and your framerate to 60.

bgundu - thank you!
Your India footage looks great, what did you shoot it with? and when was is done?

the 720p24n at 60fps was the formula that enabled me to view the slow-mo from the card. It might have evaded me but the operatiing manual from Pan dosen't speak of this in any understandable terms.
I'm getting the Barry Green book soon.
Thank you all for getting back to me so quickly.
