Shooting to QuickTime on FireStore - Any Issues?

I was thinking about trying out different formats for saving to FireStore. Since we're all Mac based, would it make sense to shoot in QuickTime mode versus P2 mode? (We shoot DVDPro50 FYI).

I guess either way, I still have to download them and they end up as QuickTime files when all is said and done. Just wondering if there is any advantage.

If you are entirely Mac based and there is no need to share MXF file data, then that would be an argument to shoot QT.
