I need to shoot stop motion animation with a DVX100A or B without a computer. Is there a hidden way to shoot frame by frame or something close with the DVX?

Thank you!

why can't you use a computer? it will be 100 times easier to do it if you can edite it.

well if you have the DVX100a, you can do timelaps which means you can trick the camera to shoot frame by frame every 30 seconds or something...(up to 5 minutes in gap)

if you're not really eiditing it, I would recomend you to just use a degital camera and take pictures.

Not without a computer. To do stop motion animation with the DVX you shoot in One-Shot mode. It will record .5 seconds. Repeat this process and then play back the footage at 15X speed in your NLE.

I'm going to second a still camera if you can find someone with a decent DSLR. Most of the things that make the DVX an incredible camera don't really matter when the frame doesn't move.
