Shooting Stills with the GH2

I have a question regarding still-shooting with the GH2. I've been testing this camera out for an upcoming photo gig. My main issue is that the LCD automatically adjusts the exposure so that I can't see what my image will look like until I snap the photo and wait for it to appear. Then I have to blindly adjust and try again as the LCD won't show what it's really seeing. Does this make sense? Even in manual mode it does this. In video mode it doesn't do this (I love this camera for shooting video, fyi).

Any advice on this?
Thanks!

Yes.

In the menu configurations, find the item CONSTANT PREVUE and set that to ON. While you're at it find EXPO.METER and set that to ON (should be fairly close to CONSTANT PREVUE). With both those set to ON, you will see exposure and ISO changes reflected both in the EVF and on the LCD as long as you are in MANUAL exposure mode in either video (with the dial on top set to the "movie cam" icon) or with the dial on top set to M for still work.

To set the GH2 for Manual in video mode, set the dial on top to "movie cam" icon and in the "video icon" menu look for EXPOSURE MODE. Four choices: P, A, S, or M. Set to M.

Each configuration choice should be "nailed" by pressing the OK button.
