Shooting SD with a 200: What's the best sensor use?

Howdy:

I need to shoot many hours of conference lectures/presentations that will be posted online. I'm thinking of shooting in SD to maximize my P2 card capacity and since HD won't help that much anyway. Since the 200's natural tendency when shooting in SD is to go to 4:3, I'm thinking that is a bad thing in that the sensor is 16:9 (right?). I'm losing some of the sensor area when it changes to 4:3? If I tell it to shoot letterbox, won't that be better in that it will use the full sensor? Is that correct logic in this context?

Thanks.

Don't use letterbox, that crops off portions of the sensor. What you want to use is "squeeze", which uses the full 16:9 sensor -- but only if your final delivered master is intended to be 16:9. Or, if delivering in 4:3, just use the 4:3 mode in the first place... it crops the sides off, but vertically it's full resolution.
