Ok, I've searched...but days go by and more people have more experience.

I'm shooting a new short, and I would like to shoot a few shots in slow motion, but most of the film will be shot at normal speed.

I'm a quality addict, I'm scared the uprezzing of the 720 slow mo to 1080 will be noticable?and create mismatched scenes.

So I'm looking for advice. Better to shoot everything at 720, or to uprez the slow mo shots.

Last question:
If I am shooting the slow motion at 720PN, and the regular motion at 720P, is that a problem?

Well, it has been demonstrated that shooting 1080 will give you better image quality. So it is all about your product and delivery. If you need total homogenous intercutting 720 is a bit less defined. But being slomo, does it matter? And is there a difference between your scenes anyway, what's the style etc....

Also, there will be a huge difference between various processes for upressing: different software yields different results, and expensive hardware scalers are best. So there is a lot to be decided upon. The answers to the different aspects are in different threads, do searches on anything you can think of. It's more or less been discussed.

good luck, best, soren
