Shooting prohd

I am trying to shoot in prohd but the drop down menu only shows up to dvc pro50
I have tried changing numerous different configurations in the scene files and recording formats but still nothing.
I do not have a p2 card as yet but i am using the fs-100 firestore

AS long as you select 1080 or 720 in the recording set up menu #5 you will be shooting in DVCPRO HD. If the second line is showing DVCPRO50 and it is blue, dont worry about that, as that is just what the last setting for 480i was at.
 
So in the menu were you can change what format you can shoot in there is
only
dvc pro 50
dvc pro
dv ?

there is no dvc pro hd?

why is that if that is the case and were does it say that in the manual?

I know i am asking loads of questions but this camera is testing me badly as i a have never shot on a panasonic ever!!!

That part of the menu is ONLY for shooting in 480i. And yes, they are the 3 choices to shoot in standard definition.

When you select 720 or 1080 IT IS DVCPro HD by default. IT does mention somewhere in the manual that when line items are blue, that they have no relevence to the shooting mode you are now in.
