No camera is ideal in these types of conditions.
The DVX will rival any other camera in its price class in terms of low light handling, and has so many other advantages as to make it one of the best choices out there.
If you don't mind a little more motion blur, you can always use the 1/24 (effectively no shutter) mode and if you need even more help, you can add gain (at the expense of more noise) up to an absurd +18 dB.
