Shooting in extreme heat!

I was out in the hot sun (108 degrees) yesterday shooting an event. My LV screen only allowed me 30 seconds to shoot before it would shut off. I am guessing this was heat related since I never experienced anything like that before. I know I get up to 5 minutes per recording clip but this was given me 30 seconds to use the live view screen!

Heat is something we deal with all the time in Arizona. Get a "real" space blanket and protect your camera from the sun. You can cut these mylar space blankets into small pieces.

they tell me in india they have to put huge ice packs on the side of the red cameras to get them to go for the periods they need.
